Diwali: Indijski ukus Beograda / Indian taste of Belgrade

March 13, 2021

Iako sam ponovo bivao skeptičan i sumnjičav.

Certainly, the local cuisine is the closest and dearest to us, it is not bad to sometimes try something new, to discover maybe completely new tastes. I experienced such an orgasm in India, when I tried local cuisine, although I was very skeptical before. Like during the trip around India, when visiting the Diwali restaurant in Belgrade, I was not sure of all the ingredients that filled the plate in front of me, but the most important thing - authenticity, was at a very high level. Although I was skeptical and suspicious again. Diwali has two locations in the city, one on Dušanovac and the other one in New Belgrade, ready to bring you closer to this amazing country through smells, tastes and music. As you eat, a language unfamiliar to us comes from the speakers, a little strange but nice. The only thing I didn't like was the interior, which is not bad at all, but it didn’t reflect what i remembered from India. Everything else is ***** on point. My recommendation is chicken "masala" and their bread with toppings, of which my favorite is the one with garlic. I filled my belly with to much of it. Really enjoyed it and already planning to come again. As for tourists, I know that they are always delighted with the local cuisine, sarams and cevapi, but Belgrade requires more than a few days, so you should have the whole world on offer. Because, as they say, Belgrade is holy. Maybe I'll see you at Masala.
